5-Day Covid PCR Testing for Guests

As of 13 December, visitors from all Australian states will be welcomed back into the Sunshine State without any need for quarantining.

Here on Lizard Island we look forward to seeing all of our amazing guests join us in our own piece of paradise!

As part of the entry requirements into Queensland, interstate visitors will need to be fully vaccinated and obtain a Queensland Entry Pass*.

Additionally for visitors from NSW, Vic, Greater Adelaide and other QLD government nominated hotspots* there is the requirement to be able to produce proof of a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival into the state and then undertake a COVID PCR test on Day 5 of your stay in Queensland.

In regards to the Day 5 testing requirement, to make this process as seamless as possible, at Lizard Island we have made arrangements to carry out this Day 5 PCR testing on-island and at no cost, for any of our guests that require it during their stay.

Our island medical staff have undertaken training to enable them to carry out the test and these will then be sent to QML Pathology in Cairns for analysis and the provision of results. Our guests will then be sent their results digitally.

We do ask our guests to advise us in advance of their stay or upon check-in, that they will require the Day 5 PCR testing while they are staying with us. We will then make the appointment and necessary arrangements with our medical team and QML to carry out the test.

If there are any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We look forward to welcoming our guests to Lizard Island and ensuring everyone has a safe and enjoyable stay!
